Resident Manager - Full Time

Windsor, Ontario

Employee performs administrative, custodial, and grounds care duties for his/her specified building(s) and/or facility. A portion of the employee's time is spent supervising site employees on their respective tasks. Employee exercises judgment and initiative in resolving problems directly under the employee's control.


  1. Update advertisements on a daily basis 
  2. Answer phone calls of inquiries Show units 
  3. Take applications on vacant and upcoming units
  4. Complete leases 
  5. Complete bank deposits 
  6. Completes standard reports
  7. Move tenants in 
  8. Handle the general custodial duties and maintenance of the apartment building at all times
  9. Respond to maintenance requests and repairs by tenant
  10. Handle the turnover of empty units
  11. Handle basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry
  12. Ensure compliance with building rules and regulations
  13. Respond to emergency calls relating to building maintenance
  14. Maintain the exterior of building 
  15. Perform safety and security checks
  16. Maintain firelog
  17. Order & pick up supplies
  18. Deal with tenant problems as they arise
  19. Collect Rent from tenants 
  20. Create and deliver notices and follow up at Tribunal

Qualifications Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of cloud software (online applications) and how to use them
  • Knowledge of Ontario Residential Tenancy Act 2006 (laws and forms)
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and administration 
  • Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance
  • Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • Knowledge of appliance maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of inspection procedures
  • Knowledge of building maintenance
  • Knowledge of applicable bylaws and procedures
  • Knowledge of Tenant Board laws and procedures 
  • Knowledge of Residential Tenancy Act 

At least one year prior work experience in this field is required.

Compensation is negotiable and will be determined upon the interview process and a benefit package will also be offered.
